This delightful Cal-Italia wine, made from estate-grown fruit. Light
and clean, the soft floral nose is followed by flavors of citrus
and apricot with a crisp, mineral finish.
Bill Mosby was the first winemaker in Santa Barbara county to release Cortese wine,
and is one of only a handful of producers in California. Cortese grapes are made into the wine known as Gavi in the
Piedmonte region of northern Italy.
This gorgeous Italian-style rose with garnet clarity and color is produced from Cannonau grapes grown with loving care on the Mosby estate. Subtle aromas of wildflowers, raspberry and pomegranate lead to pronounced flavors of raspberry and strawberry-rhubarb pie. The clean, dry finish and palate-cleansing acidity reflect the wine's stainless steel fermentation. Enjoy our refreshing Rosato with a variety of foods...sausages, grilled Tuscan-style chicken, chile-rubbed pork loin or tomato-based seafood dishes such as cioppino. Serve chilled.
Case production: 250

The Mosby Stelline di Moscato or Little Stars of Moscato is an off-dry sparkler. Reminiscent of an Italian Prosecco, this is the ideal wine to serve with brunch, as an accompaniment to a cheese plate, or simply as a respite from a busy afternoon. The seductive nose of orange blossom is confirmed in the citrusy flavors, with lovely tangerine peel notes in the finish. The slight residual sugar is beautifully balanced by the refreshing acidity. Try this wine with Pecorino cheese drizzled in honey, Prociutto-wrapped figs or an assortment of dried fruits and nuts. Perfect for the holidays.

Light and refreshing, the Mosby Pinot Grigio delights with aromas of ripe pear, apple, and vanilla bean. The crisp, citrusy taste is followed by a dry, clean finish with an element of wet stone.
Historically, Pinot Grigio originates from the Fruili-Venezia Guilia of Italy. Said to be a mutation of the Pinot Noir grape, the Pinot Grigio seems unsure whether it is a red or white wine grape. Hence, grigio, meaning gray.
Bill Mosby was the first winemaker in Santa Barbara county to release Pinot Grigio wine and continues to realize much success with international acclaim.

A bright, floral nose is followed by flavors which include lychee, citrus and pear. The finish is dry and clean like the traditional Traminers of Northern Italy.
Excellent on its own as an aperitif, this wine pairs nicely with smoked meats, turkey or spicy Asian cuisine.
300 cases produced.

Mosby Dolcetto is produced from carefully tended estate-grown grapes, creating a full-bodied wine that can be enjoyed with everyday meals. The 2007 Mosby Dolcetto has brilliant aromatics of brown spice, herbs and white pepper. Mouth-filling flavors of yellow-fleshed plum and cola lead to the honest, lingering finish. We like to serve our Dolcetto with interesting cheeses, hearty pastas, grilled meats or pizza.

The Mosby Ossessione is our first true Italian import. Bill traveled to Italy and worked in conjunction with grape growers there to produce this wine. The grapes are from a pampered vineyard located in the rolling hills of the Marche, Italy. Swept and cooled by breezes off the Adriatic Sea, this area is renowned for its intensely-flavored Montepulciano grapes. These are the true varietal grapes of Montepulciano, not the Montepulciano Nobile grapes, which are actually Sangiovese. The Montepulciano varietal wine most commonly sold in this country is the Montepulciano D'Abruzzo.
True to its heritage, Ossessione has brilliant ruby color and an intoxicating nose with perfume-like notes of woodsy sandalwood, brown spice and maple. Flavors, of dried red currant and spice finish with medium tannins and a hint of vanilla. The wine is ready to drink now, and would paor very well with roasted meat dishes or a selection of Italian cured meats served in the antipasti style.

The Mosby Sangiovese has a lot going on! We detected amazing scents of cocoa, dried cherries, lavender and lilac; these delightful aromas progressed into layered flavors of crushed dark berries, spice and light oak. The full body of this release is nicely balanced by brisk acidity and smooth tannins, making it an ideal wine for food pairing. Our suggestions include beef or game ragus, tomato-based pasta sauces or spicy Tuscan-style chicken. This wine is ready to drink now, but will cellar well for three to five years.
The Mosby Primativo displays deep ruby color in the glass, hinting at its character. Rich aromas of maple, cedar and leather lead to vivid flavors of boysenberry and spiced crab apples. These integrated layers of flavor flow into a well-balanced finish with hints of toasted walnut skins. Primativo is grown in Apulie (Puglia, Italy) and is a relative to Zinfandel. The grapes for the Mosby Primativo are grown in the central coast, 20 miles inland from the Pacific ocean. This location has the ideal heat factor needed to grow good Primativo.
This wine is a natural paired with grilled meats...we like it with tri-tip, pork loin or grilled Portobello mushrooms. It's excellent with lamb and lovely with hearty pasta dishes.

The Mosby La Seduzione is Bill's fifth release of this rare Cal-Italian varietal. The Lagrein grape is named after the Lagarina Valley of Trentino, although it is now primarily grown at Gries on the outskirts of Bolzano.
An extremely rare grape in the United States, we know of only a handful of vineyards in California. Bill was able to procure these grapes from the French Camp Vineyard.
This velvety violet colored wine offers aromas of dark plums, cocoa and wild wood mint. The rich mouth feel and flavor of ripe black currants finish with soft tannins.
Enjoy this wine with rich red meat or mushroom-based dishes, such as roasted prime rib, Porcini risotto or stroganoff.

The Mosby Sagrantino is the first domestically-produced Sagrantino available for sale. Sagrantino is an Italian grape varietal that grows around the hilltop town of Montefalco in Umbria. Bill imported the cuttings and tended them in his estate vineyard for four years before his first Californian Sagrantino harvest in 2006. The wine is true to its Italian heritage; dark garnet-red in the glass, this wine offers up exotic fragrances including rose petal and horehound. The flavor combines brooding elements of tobacco, "sotto di bosco" (fruit of the forest floor) abd sassafras bark intertwined with bold dark fruit and a chewy, mouth-filling texture. The firm tannins complement these rich flavors and create a pleasantly-defined finish. This release is still a youngster so we recommend opening the wine to breathe for about a half hour, then serving it with full-flavored foods.
We enjoy our Sagrantino with cheeses such as Manchego, Cabrales or Parmesan; red meats including bison, lamb, game or pepper steak; poultry such as squab or duck and any dish flavored with truffles, mint or rosemary. This wine will cellar well for 5 to 7 years.

The Mosby Teroldego is a noble wine that introduces itself through a nose of almonds and flowers. The lush flavors of ripe raspberry and brown spice are followed by a smooth, lingering finish.
Teroldego pairs especially well with beef, lamb, or game. Try a bottle with a grilled steak or butterflied leg of lamb. Served with family and friends, this wine turns a meal into a celebration.
The Rotaliano plain of northeastern Italy's Trentino-Alto Adige region has been growing and producing Teroldego grapes for over 500 years. Mosby Winery is one of the few growers and producers of Teroldego in California.

The Mosby Roc Michel is a Rhône varietal blend of Syrah and Mourvedre. The grapes for this wine came from son Michael Mosby's Fremir Vineyards, located in Monterey County. The name, Roc Michel, means "Michael's rock" referring to the particular soil where the vineyard is planted and to the steadfast temperament of Michael himself. The terroir of Parkfield, earthquake capital of the world, is especially well suited for the grapes that make up this flavorful blend.
This ruby-hued, dry red wine has a succulent mouth feel and rich, ripe berry fruit with a chocolaty essence and a mysterious tropical note.
Mosby Roc Michel is a lush, satisfying wine. Enjoy it with grilled or roasted meats including beef, lamb, or game. Add dimension to hearty vegetable fare such as roasted pumpkin soup or grilled Portobello mushrooms. Equally at home served with simple desserts, as an alternative to stronger or sweeter after-dinner drinks.. Bon Appetit!

A dessert wine made from raspberries. Jammy, raspberry fruit with a bright finish. Dessert in a glass!

La Donna is a refreshing white wine made from estate-grown Cortese and Chardonnay grapes. Aromas of ripe melon and honeysuckle lead to more austere flavors of citrus and green apple. The dry finish lingers, leaving impressions of cool water running over slate. A perfect white wine for everyday with a budget-conscious price.
La Donna pairs well with spicy chicken dishes such as Chicken Piccata, shellfish dishes and pastas featuring bechamel-based sauces.

Lucca is named after a picturesque village in Tuscany.
This non-vintage, Primitivo-based red has a nose of dark berry and sweet brown spice. The flavor has classic elements of bright berry fruit with hints of forest floor and is supported by a firm tannic finish.
The wine was aged in older French oak barrels which preserves the bright fruit character and smooth finish. Open now . . . or hold.
This is a perfect wine for everyday meals, and pairs very well with pastas in tomato sauces, veal dishes, poultry, beef, or pizza. Salut!

One whiff of this Orange Muscat wine will remind you of the smell of orange blossoms floating on a Summer breeze. Remember the warm nights when you were on vacation? Citrus and orange flavors follow through on the palette leading to the surprisingly dry, clean finish. Enjoy chilled with simple dishes….grilled scallops, shrimp or meaty white fish; grilled or roasted poultry, or as an excellent foil for creamy cheeses…you know the ones.
case production: 200

Mead is a delightful honey wine enjoyed since the dawn of recorded history. Aromatic, slightly sweet and reminiscent of the chaparral honey it's made from, this amber-colored wine is true to its ancient heritage.

Over the centuries, on the small winery farms of Italy and France, the winemakers would add water to the grape pomace and distill it. In France, this crystal-clear, high-proof beverage was known as Marc. In Italy it was called Grappa. The 80-proof Mosby Grappa di Traminer was made with pomace from estate-grown Traminer. It is an excellent conclusion to a meal—especially Italian cuisine—and should be enjoyed in the same way you would enjoy a snifter of cognac or a fine single-malt Scotch whisky.

The Mosby Distillato di Prugne Selvaggie is a distillation of Native Pacific Plums. Remembering when he was a boy growing up in Oregon, Bill Mosby recalls, "We’d go into the highland and gather these wild plums that grew in the mountainous areas of northern California and southern Oregon."
In a Los Angeles Times column, wine writer Dan Berger exclaimed, "One of the most amazing products I’ve tasted is from Mosby Winery in Buellton. [His] Distillato di Prugne Selvaggie (a distillation of wild plums) is one of the finest, most aromatic liquids I have ever smelled or tasted."

The Mosby Acqua di lampone is a distillation of premium raspberries from a berry patch up the Columbia Gorge about 30 miles east of Portland, Oregon. "The raspberries are mechanically picked which results in perfect fruit," said Mosby. "The berries are perfectly uniform in color and ripeness. Smuckers Jams gets their raspberries from the same farm." After harvesting, Mosby begins fermentation immediately and continues for approximately ten days before moving it to the still for distillation. The eau de vie is then brought to proof with filtered rainwater.

Harvested from a small orchard in San Benito County, California. These perfectly ripened plums were artfully fermented and distilled by Bill Mosby under the Rabbinical supervision of Rabbi Yonah Bookstein. This exceptional brandy (Slivovitz) is certified Kosher for Passover L' Mehadrin.
